Mezzanine Space Proposals
Throughout 2012, Artspace will continue to use its Mezzanine Space to exhibit site-specific projects by local emerging artists. We are now seeking proposals from artists who wish to develop work for the Mezzanine Space alongside the gallery’s main programme. Projects should contain work that has not been previously exhibited, and should be site-specific, ideally developed particularly for this context.
Proposals must contain:
• a personal statement outlining the motivations for the project
• a description of the work (this must specifically address how the work will engage with the site)
• a list of any requirements of the project (i.e., electricity, security, etc.)
• documentation of previous work that is relevant to the project
In 2012, seven projects will be commissioned for the space. The deadlines to submit proposals are: February 25, March 31, April 28, May 26, June 29 and September 21.

Proposals should be sent via email only to artspace@artspace.org.nz The curatorial team will review all proposals and successful applicants will be notified within the two weeks following each deadline.
