Future Generation Art Prize
Artspace is pleased to be a new partner platform for the 2012 Future Generation Art Prize.
The second edition of the Future Generation Art Prize is open to all artists up to the age of 35.
Online applications are accepted from 6 February untill 20 May 2012.
The Future Generation Art Prize was established in 2009 by the Victor Pinchuk Foundation. A worldwide contemporary art prize, it aims to provide long-term support for a generation of emerging artists up to 35 years of age, wherever they may live and work. This unique artist-focused prize aims to make a major contribution toward the production of new work by young artists.
Awarded through a competition, judged by a distinguished jury, the Future Generation Art Prize is founded on the idea of generosity, a network of outstanding patron artists and institutional partners, and a highly democratic application procedure. An exhibition of 21 shortlisted artists will open at the PinchukArtCentre (Kiev, Ukraine) in October 2012. The respected international jury will then announce the winner of the Main Prize who will receive a generous prize toward production of new work at the Award Ceremony in December 2012 in Kiev, Ukraine.
